Our lives changed so dramatically on Sept. 6, 2004, when a piece of our heart was broken away. We couldn't imagine how we were ever going to move forward when someone we loved was missing.
Nicholas will always hold a very special place in all of our hearts and
we would like to honor that memory. 

Our family has started  
"The Nick of Time (NOT) Foundation"

Building a foundation to honor Nick's memory and also working to help other family's and our communities, understand about Sudden Cardiac Arrest and how important the placement of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) in our schools and communities in the future will be has been an amazing experience. We will also be working with our local politicians to pass an AED bill that is currently before the Washington State legislature.
Pennsylvania has already passed a similar bill.

We are in the process of building an education program to present at school assemblies, a site assessment guide to help locations with existing AED programs, and helping those schools who don't currently have AED's establish a program through grants and donations.

Our website will be a work in progress, constantly changing as new information and links become available.

My hope is that as many of you that would like to be involved, will do so.There is lots of work to be done. Lots of help needed. Let's not let this chance to make a difference slip by. 

 Nicky's light was special, and by introducing this legacy to others, we can and will make a difference.

His legacy
Nick's Legacy  

The blue bracelets given out at the dedication,
 are to be worn as a daily
reminder of how Nick lived his life.
Nick lived everyday as
"Proud, Brave and Strong" as possible.
It is our hope that you will wear them to 
remind you to live
the same way in his memory.

Proud 
Nick was so incredibly proud of his family and friends and their accpmplishments, as well as his own achievements
in academics and athletics.

Brave
Nick was extremely brave while facing the difficult changes in his life and expected the same bravery from those around him.

Strong
Nick was not only very physically strong but emotionally strong too. Both his family and friends relied on his strong character
and shoulders for anything they needed.
